Hi All,
The front bumper bar on my MK1A is toast. Need to source another one. Can anyone tell me if the front bumper bar is the same on a MK1A as a MK1B?.
Thanks,
Tim

I take it that it won'd fit at all, foam & skin different. Any bits the same . Centre of my bumperbar is fine as are the four mounting holes. Its from there out on both sides that have disintegrated.. Just thinking if I picked up a MK1B bumper bar could I merge the 2?.
Thanks,
Tim

I'm also enquiring how to spot the difference between the 2 front bumper bars. Mine is a MK1A but seems to be a crossover model. I'm guessing it has the MK1A bumper bar (only one towing eye). Is there anything else I can check?.
Thanks.
Tim

A single towing eye means you have a 1b bumper.
They are interchangable as far as mounting to the chassis goes and afaik its easier to fit a 1b bar to a 1a as your just left with the hole in the grill from the extra towing eye.
